All the work that the Newcastle Business School (NBS) carries out gets critical review from a number of places.

On the teaching side we get feedback from External Examiners (who look at exam papers and students' answers).

We also get feedback from industry - employers and placement providers - who tell us about the quality of our graduates and the content of our Courses.

We get "quality assessed" every few years. The last time this happened, in 1993, we were awarded an "Excellent" rating, one of only 18 Business Schools (out of 105) to be awarded the top rating.

Finally, the BA (Hons) Accounting degree is quality assessed on an annual basis by the organisations that grant its graduates exemptions from their professional examination schemes.

It is important that we maintain and develop our excellent reputation, and an important part in achieving that is maintaining the high quality of the delivery of the courses and modules. Therefore, in addition to the sources of feedback mentioned above, we need feedback from students. All students play a part in this, but Student Representatives in particular play a very important role.
