Synopsis of Module This module examines the role of information provision in management decision-making and control. In this regard, special reference is made to the accounting function. A broad approach is taken which emphasises the holistic nature of the subject. This includes an interest in the nature of information, and its relation to management and an interest in the tools, techniques and technologies that underpin the development of management information systems. Hence, practical sessions are utilised to demonstrate and practise the skills required for the effective management of information resources.
