Synopsis of Module

The module seeks to develop an understanding of the role of financial management in the corporate environment .Explore issues faced by companies when considering alternative sources of short and long term finance for funding of the business. The module explores issues concerning the determination of the cost of capital for a company and addresses issues relating to the management of short term assets and liabilities.

Aims of Module

The module aims to:

1.underpin the study of corporate financial management in the accountancy programme area;
2.develop an understanding of the role of financial management in the corporate environment;
3.explore issues faced by companies when considering alternative sources of finance and in the management of short term assets and liabilities.
